Biggest Dating Mistake: Mission-Based Dating

Hey girl,

I want to talk about something that so many single women do that actually does more of a disservice than a service for them while they’re dating.

Most women actually do what I call mission-based dating. Meaning, they date to get a husband and to have a baby. I want to offer to you that dating is not about that. Don’t get me wrong, the name of my company is Get Your Guy. But my job is to help my clients and the women that I work with become the women who are ready for the best relationship of their lives.

This dating journey is a journey for YOU. The guy you get at the end is the cherry on top. Dating is about you. It’s about the woman that you become. This requires doing more analysis while dating. What do I mean…?

When you have a phone date, when you have a physical date, are you rating the date? Are you thinking about the conversation ratio? Are you thinking about how you felt during the date? Are you being intentionally vulnerable? These are just some of the variables that I ask about after every date that my client goes on.

You have to understand that every experience and interaction with a man is not a waste. There’s a lesson to be learned. And if you’re not gleaning that lesson from each interaction that you’re having with a guy, you are probably not dating in a way that’s going to best serve you. It is when you are actually able to get those lessons that you are able to level up, that you are able to heal, and that you are able to get your guy.
