A book for every woman at Spelman.

My sister went to Spelman. I watched her walk through those gates at eighteen, brilliant and ready for the world, and I know firsthand what it means to hand a young woman the tools before she needs them, not after.

Girl, Get Your Guy! follows four women; Tia, Noelle, Sienna, and Violet, who first became friends as freshmen at Spelman. Years later, they’re still each other’s closest confidantes, still working through the same patterns they carried out of those gates: the Nice Girl, the Independent Girl, the Perfect Girl, the Cautious Girl. Their friendship started here. It felt right that the book should come back here too.

That’s why I’m donating a copy to every undergraduate woman at Spelman College, nearly 2,500 women who deserve the same strategy this book gives you. This isn’t charity. It’s passing the rules down before the next generation has to learn them the hard way, like we did.
